The Brooklyn Paper today pays tribute to Red Hook mainstay Sunny's and its owner Sunny Balzano, who took over the century-old place from his uncle and transformed it into the artistic center of the neighborhood. They note that Balzano's life story "is as much a scrapbook of Red Hook’s history...as it is a character sketch of a fascinating businessman — and cultural visionary — who has earned an almost cult-like following from his customers."
